Did you know… that a comprehensive part dinner service in the ‘Cirque Chinois‘ pattern by Le Tallec originally owned by Ann and Gordon Getty, acquired from Tiffany & Co., New York between 1976 and 1989, sold at online auction (Christie’s) in Oct 2022 for the sum of $163,800

The service was in the ‘Cirque Chinois’ pattern, comprising: 75 dinner plates, 10 teacups and 12 saucers, 18 demitasse cups and saucers and a circular tray.

A wonderful Camille Le Tallec gilded porcelain Monteith seau crénelé wine glass cooler, a type of specialized French tableware used to cool wine glasses by hanging them by their bases in the scalloped notches. These are often used as jardinieres.

Pattern: Attributs de Musique, featuring elaborate hand-painted gold (gilt) scrolling, musical instruments, and floral garlands. See page 170 of Atelier Le Tallec Hand Painted Limoges Porcelain: For Connoisseurs, Royalty, and Tiffany and Co. (Keith & Thomas Waterbrook-Clyde, 2003).
