Did you know… that a comprehensive part dinner service in the ‘Cirque Chinois‘ pattern by Le Tallec originally owned by Ann and Gordon Getty, acquired from Tiffany & Co., New York between 1976 and 1989, sold at online auction (Christie’s) in Oct 2022 for the sum of $163,800

The service was in the ‘Cirque Chinois’ pattern, comprising: 75 dinner plates, 10 teacups and 12 saucers, 18 demitasse cups and saucers and a circular tray.

A stunning square-shaped deep serving bowl with scalloped or lobed edges, decorated with Medaillons de Fleurs with extensive rococo gilding to both the interior and exterior

Key Characteristics

  • Maker: Atelier Camille Le Tallec, Paris.
  • Pattern: The design features several 'Medaillons de Fleurs' set within white panels, with extensive gilt scrollwork and intricate green and gold panels, all over a pastel blue and pure white ground.
  • Material: Fine Limoges porcelain with hand-applied gilding.
